Back" Picnic (co-sponsored by WLI and Burns &
McDonnell) September 3, 2008 Schumann Park -- 5:00-7:00pm
All current and new students are invited to the annual Welcome Back Picnic
at 5:00 pm at Schumann Park. Food with all the trimmings and give
aways provided by Burns & McDonnell. Join us for great food and great
fun as we and welcome all new and returning students to Rolla!
SDP Annual
Phone-a-thon Missouri S&T campus September 2-4 &
7 2008
Our yearly alumni event where SDP students contact Missouri S&T alumni and
encourage them to support student scholarships, programming, organizations and
participate in campus activities while giving back to the University community.
100% of proceeds support SDP Diversity Scholarships.

Student Diversity Programs along with the Women in Science and Engineering
(WISE) program organizes "Night to Network" for students to meet and
build relationships with professional recruiters and alumni. It is the night
before the fall career fair and you will have an opportunity to engage in
personal contact with employers who are recruiting Missouri S&T

Diversity Showcase - Minority
Recruitment Event Missouri S&T campus November 9, 2008
This annual campus visit program takes place each November and is designed
especially for high school juniors and seniors that want to learn more about
opportunities available to them at Missouri S&T. Families arrive on
Saturday and attend a day full of exciting campus events that complement our
traditional Open House program. Parents and guests are not only welcome, but
encouraged to attend! Transportation to campus is available from the St. Louis
metropolitan area.
Si Se Puede (co-sponsored by SDP and
SHPE) Missouri S&T campus November 12-14, 2008
Si Se Puede is an annual event that brings talented under-represented students
from the Midwest to campus to experience all that Missouri S&T has to offer
them as they explore future careers in science, technology, engineering,
business and math. Si Se Puede, which means "Yes I Can" is always
one of our favorite events of the year!

peers, administrators, and staff to wish them "good luck" with their
upcoming endeavors.

The 3.0 Club Banquet is to recognize SDP student's academic achievement and to
thank those faculty, staff, and companies who contribute to their success.
Students are recognized for achieving a GPA of 3.0 or better.
Pre-College
Initiative (PCI) – Minority Recruitment Event (co-sponsored by SDP and
NSBE)
April 17-20, 2009
Pre-College Initiative is an annual event that brings talented
under-represented students from the Midwest to campus to experience all that
Missouri S&T has to offer them as they explore future careers in science,
technology, engineering, business and math. PCI is another one of our
favorite events of the year!
"Dinner
2 Jazz" April 19, 2009
"Dinner 2 Jazz" is a soulful production put on by the Association of
Black Students. This year's event will consist of fine cuisine and a live band.
